Dear Isabel,
This would usually be a long post about cycling, my ride last Sunday and:
- how beautiful Tossa de Mar is from above,
Tossa de Mar |
- the beautiful coast of Costa Brava,
- the winding road connecting Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu de Guixols, perhaps the most beautiful road in Catalonia and Spain. Made for cycling or a nice ride in a cab with U2 playing Beautiful day,
- how faboulus the Tuna Tataki tasted at Tapas del Mar in Tossa,
- how beautiful Tossa is,
- Catalonias changing and diversified scenary,
- picturesque villages ( yes, it's Cruïlles).
But instead it is going to be about one of the most welcoming people I have ever met. A host that meets and exceeds her guests expectations. How a detour on the Catalonian countryside ended up in a kitchen eating strawberries with brown sugar and having a nice conversation about what to see in Catalonia and some well reckoned Swedish phrases to my big suprise.
A peaceful coffee in the garden with superfriendly people I didn't know existed and a conversation about herring, meatballs, how IKEA has conquered the world and a invite to Italy, what to see in Sweden.
Gracies para todos, Isabel.
Time rushed by too fast and I had to continue to Blanes before it got dark.
The remaining 65 kilometers where a unfair fight with the setting sun over hilly roads, open fields and my shadow got longer and longer. There was no time for a short stop to take a picture, if I wanted to get to Blanes before it got dark.
And of course some cycling were conducted, check Strava for the route.
